Sophie is a French acupuncturist based in London with practices in Brixton and Clapham in South London. She graduated from the University of Westminster with a BSc Honours in Chinese Medicine Acupuncture.
Before training as an acupuncturist, Sophie worked as a consultant in the Information and Technology industry for 10 years. During her second pregnancy and after the birth of her baby, she experienced the gentle yet powerful benefits of acupuncture and decided to study and practice the therapy.
Since graduating she has gained considerable clinical experience in a variety of environments. She took part in the Graduate Program at the polyclinic of the University of Wesminster for two years, she practiced for 4 years in corporate environments to support companies health and wellbeing programs and she is now part of a team of practitioners in clinics in Clapham (SW9) and Brixton (SW4). She works with patients with a wide range of conditions such as back pain, sciatica, headaches, migraines, insomnia, stress, chronic fatigue syndromes, fertility and gynaecological issues, with a special interest in pain conditions, stress and anxiety and women health.
Her practice engages with each individual case, looking at all aspects of her patients’ health and lifestyle in order to tailor unique and personalised treatments. She draws on a variety of techniques including needling with cupping and moxibustion, tuina massage, and auriculotherapy. She offers dietary and lifestyle advice all based on traditional Chinese medicine theories to support and complement each treatment and she aims at creating a supportive, calm and friendly environment.
